Please check your promotions or spam folder and white list [email protected] if you don’t receive your email within 10 minutes. Remember you all need to be in touch with me by email, phone, or schoology every week, so send me a quick note and let me know you're ok. I also need to see you in class every Monday. I have to take attendance at each class and turn it in-so be there and get counted! I've really enjoyed seeing you in our Webex classes on Mondays! It warms my heart to see your faces! Stay warm, stay healthy, wash your hands, and I will talk with you on Monday! Ms. Abella 4/17/20
Students: Hello! I hope you are well on this snowy and cold day. I hope you are keeping busy and enjoying time with your family and having a lot of fun with your video games. You should be fortnight experts by now! I hope you are all getting my communication through your student emails, my website, and schoology. So I can stay closer in touch with how you're doing, and I really want to hear your voices, I will be hosting a virtual class on Monday, April 20. 1st Hour students will meet at 1:00 p.m. 4th Hour students will meet at 3:00 p.m. 2nd, 3rd, and 6th Hour students will meet at 2:00 p.m. Please remember that you all need to touch base with me by email. First hour students can win prizes for their emails! How exciting is that! Please understand that if I don't hear from you I will need to start calling your parents. Just a quick reminder that counselors are scheduling classes for 7th graders. You need to be in touch with them or you will be assigned. Stay warm, stay healthy, wash your hands, and I will talk with you on Monday! Ms. Abella 4/13/20 Hi Students: I hope you and your family are staying healthy and maintaining a positive outlook. While it was not unexpected, I was sad to hear the schools would be closed for the rest of the year. I will miss each of your smiling faces daily! However, I will be hosting a virtual class meeting every Monday to connect with you and answer any questions you might have. I will be communicating through my website and Schoology (which should be connected to your school email and you can download the app). I plan on hosting the virtual meetings through WebEx. I'm told that most of you are very familiar with Schoology and this technology. Mrs. Iljkoski has sent you lots of information on how to sign up and stay connected. Please be patient with me. I have not done this before so it is a new experience for me!!!!! If it works, I will schedule more of these gatherings and we can talk. I will be going into Grissom tomorrow to pick up materials and then I'll update my website and hopefully schoology for Wednesday this week. I continue to challenge each of you, to read at least 30 minutes every day. You can log your time on the calendar I gave you, on one of your own, or a sheet of paper. Please keep track of things you are reading as I will try to reach out and call you so we can discuss how you are enjoying your reading selections. I have already spoken with a couple of you, and I will continue to do this. Please email me your cell phone number if you would like me to use that number, otherwise I will be using the number your parents provided in power school. I will also be providing a reading response journal. I hope each of you received the card I sent you with a sticker and a sucker. I hope it brightened your day! Also, please check out the district web site for additional learning and information. with http://www.wcskids.net/Departments/Curriculum/LearningAtHome/index.html I miss you and look forward to when we can be together again! Remember to wash your hands and be safe!! Ms. Abella :) Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 is Constitution Day! All classes will be discussing the difference between rights and privileges according to the United States Constitution.

Please follow these 3 steps and you should get on without any trouble. 1. Go to: https://www.wcskids.wcs.k12.mi.us and using the drop down menu, select the tab for Parents/Students 2. Click on Schoology and choose your school, Grissom 3. Enter your Id number ([email protected]) and your password Once you are in you can learn to navigate your way to each class by pressing on that class button. Your work is displayed in folders that your teachers have set up. Click on them and follow the links. Remember you all need to be in touch with me by email, so send me a quick note and let me know you're ok. I will also be speaking to each of you by phone and then seeing you in class every Monday. Quick reminder, scheduling of classes is also Monday, but a noon. I miss seeing you every day! Hopefully things will get back to normal soon and I'll be able to see you in person.
